History of Lean Engineering/Ehrhardt Tool
In 2008 Lean Engineering (a group of former members of CyberTech International) became the authorized service center for Ehrhardt Tool, Granite City, IL. Ehrhardt's large and diverse knowledgebase in the field of factory automation was increased in 2008 by the addition of a company from Florida known as CyberTech International who had been producing state-of-the-art automated equipment. Ehrhardt Tool has a proud and distinguished heritage of talent and skills. Ehrhardt Tool & Machine Company, Inc. is a founding member of the National Tool, Die and Precision Machining Association and has remained a member for over fifty years. Willis Ehrhardt established Ehrhardt more than 60 years ago and maintained control until 1970 when the company was acquired by Alco Standard. Ehrhardt operated as a division of Alco Standard for several years until 1983, when Ehrhardt became a division of Alco Industries.
Alco Industries has been employee-owned since 1997. Because we retained key employees throughout ownership changes, we maintain a consistently high level of expertise in all areas of die, tool and special machine building.
As part of the Alco Industries family we have the support to continue growing and keep pace with the technology needed to meet the growing demands of industry for high precision and dependable tooling and special machines. Few tool and die plants anywhere can match Ehrhardt in facilities or in tooling expertise.
Our history is one of a company constantly striving to improve. At Ehrhardt, "tradition" means a commitment to excellence
